Just shoot me now. My clicker on my touchpad is dead from the static shock. It won't let the USB mouse function fully, so in order to click on a link I have to open it in a new window instead of a new tab.

And now I find that Spamarrest is dead....which means none of my email is getting through.

If I take my iBook in to Apple it will be gone for a week. So I need to get my calendar, address book, and downloaded email over to Kevin's computer or some other accessible point.

If you need to talk to me, call or text msg my cell. Fuck!

Elizabeth--thinking of you today. Am trying to send an e-card but it's proving almost impossible with this mouse.

ah thanks, that's okay. i think i would probably throw my laptop if it did that to me. g'luck with it.

btw, why do you keep using an apple? they are awful unless you keep them in a glass case and never touch them. i learned to hate them when having to use the fuckers in design classes.

There are multiple answers to your question.

1) She got it because I nudged her to get a mac--I assumed she'd be comfortable with it due to her past experience and I wanted a chance to mess with OSX. Which is an excellent OS btw.

2) The iBooks are nothing like the desktop units, so I think you're comparing apples and oranges (last time I checked design classes didn't use laptops, but correct me if I assume wrong).

3) This was a replacement for one that failed 3 or 4 times in a year. Aside from occasional static issues, this one has not had any significant issues since replacement, despite very very very hard use that I don't think my Vaio would have stood up to, not to mention the battery life being light years better even with the original battery (we have an extended life that we bought when the original started petering out). The one that was failing wasn't failing due to our use, but rather due to mfg issues that Apple was having with the iBooks at the time.

My next laptop will be an intel apple. I can run all three OS' that I care anything about on the same hardware.....

ha, this was eight years ago, did apple even have laptops back then?

i can see you're a bit passionate about this, so i'll not go further.
